2013 Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG makes U.S. debut in L.A. image

The 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG has recently made its North American debut during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.

The German based automaker has brought one of the fastest seven-seat crossovers in the world to this year’s edition of the Los Angeles Auto Show where the model has made its debut in the United States. The 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG can be distinguished from its less powerful brothers by the aggressive front fascia, by the LED daytime running lights, by the unique rear bumper, the four-tailpipe exhaust system or by its 21-inch alloy wheels designed by AMG.

Power to the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG is being provided by the company’s 5.5 liter twin turbo V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 550 BHP (410 kW) and 560 lb-ft of torque (760 Nm). The unit is mated to a seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC transmission which is sending power to the 4MATCI all-wheel drive system. Thanks to these, the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 280 km/h (174 mph). Prices for the all-new GL63 AMG over-seas will start at 116,925 and the model will go on sale next year.
