2013 Skoda Fabia – first images hit the web

The first images with the new generation of the Skoda Fabia have recently hit the web, revealing a new exterior design and improved technical specs.

With the Skoda Rapid making everyone excited about the brand, Skoda has adopted a similar front fascia to the new Fabia generation, which is expected to hit the market sometimes next year. As you can see from the images posted below, the third generation of the Skoda Fabia and the all-new Skoda Rapid have a lot of things in common if you look very closely at its front fascia.

The 2013 Skoda Fabia has been made on a new technical platform, which is used by the Volkswagen Polo too, and, compared to the current Fabia generation, the Fabia III will have a bigger body and more space into the cabin, especially for rear seats occupants.

The new generation of the Skoda Fabia will get the same engines found on the Volkswagen models this year and the most economic unit is the 1.2 liter TDI, which is developing a total output of 75 horsepower, while the most powerful is a 1.2 liter TSI, producing 115 horsepower. The new Skoda Fabia RS is expected to hit the market one year after the new generation of the model will start its deliveries.
