Toyota’s in-house tuner TRD has pulled the wraps off its latest creation, price an upgrade package for the new Auris generation, order which was named the Modellista.
The paint isn’t even dry yet on the new generation of the Toyota Auris, generic as some people would say, but that didn’t stop TRD to develop the first aftermarket package for the Japanese hatchback and, after the model was officially presented to the public a couple of days ago, it’s entering our news once again. For the moment, the upgrade package for the 2013 Toyota Auris developed by TRD is presented as extra gear for the local Japanese market, but the upgrades are expected to arrive on other markets soon.
The Modellista upgrade package for the 2013 Toyota Auris is adding a more aggressive design to the popular hatchback, which includes a fresh set of front and rear bumpers, revised side skirts, chromed accessories, a rear diffuser to “cover” the sports exhaust system and the fresh set of alloy wheels. This version of the Toyota Auris is getting 2 HP more than the standard version, to a total of 145 HP from the 1.8 liter engine. The European debut of the new Auris generation will take place next month, during the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
