The famous Italian design house Stile Bertone has recently released the first official images with the Nuccio Concept, ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March.
After teasing the Nuccio not too long ago, playing on the same level as Pininfarina and its Cabiano Concept, which will also be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show next month, Bertone has decided to release the first official images with its new concept car, which has been made as a tribute to the company’s 100th anniversary since the firm was founded back in 1912 by Giovanni Bertone. After World War II, the son of Giovanni, Nuccio Bertone, has taken over the company from his father and separated it into two new divisions, Stile Bertone, for Styling, and Carrozzeria, for manufacturing.
Bertone says that the Nuccio is an extreme sports car, an evolution of the mid-rear engined, rear-wheel drive berlinetta design from the ‘70s, with a completely new look. The Bertone Nuccio Concept has been created and by the company’s design director Michael Robinson, as part of paying his tribute to the firm’s heritage. Besides the Geneva Motor Show next month, the Bertone Nuccio Concept will also be shown in other exhibitions around the world, including the Beijing Motor Show in April, the Laguna Seca in the US in August and the Florence event in Italy in September.
