BMW has announced a Performance Edition of the X6 M, featuring carbon fibre exterior elements and motorsport-inspired graphics. The model is set to make its public debut at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show.

The X6 M Performance Edition stands out with a carbon fibre front lip added to the already imposing front spoiler, as well as a carbon fibre boot lid. Motorsport graphics run along the sides in a CSL-inspired pattern, distinguishing it from the standard X6 M. The edition also gains exclusive M wheels, further enhancing its visual identity.

Styling and features

BMW has not announced any mechanical changes for the Performance Edition, so the 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 and xDrive all-wheel drive system are expected to remain unchanged. The focus is on exterior customisation, appealing to buyers seeking a more distinctive version of the X6 M. The carbon fibre elements and motorsport graphics echo BMW’s track-inspired special editions, following a trend seen across German sports sub-brands.
