Buick has no plans of putting the Avenir into production as a company representative has recently confirmed with inautonews.com.
If the latest reports with the Buick Avenir which were announcing a production version of the model have gotten your hopes up, we’re here to disappoint you because the North American based automaker has no plans of putting such a model into production. The announcement has been made by a representative within the company who was contacted by the inautonews.com team in order to find out more about the so-called production version of the Avenir.
“The Avenir is a concept car and we have not announced any plans for production”, said the Buick official.
The Buick Avenir remains the same concept car which has made its public debut at the 2015 NAIAS, in Detroit, a few months back. The vehicle in question came with large 21-inch alloy wheels, with a prominent waterfall grille, with LED headlights, ventilated front fenders, muscular rear fenders and several other goodies. The cabin of the model has drawn inspiration from its exterior design and this has received some high quality materials which include the premium leather, the bamboo wood trim or the silk. We can also find the IntelliLink infotainment system here, along with the large 12-inch display, ambient lighting, ionic air filtration system and so on. No technical specs on the one-off car are known at this time but the initial details were saying that a V6 engine was found under its hood, with start/stop, direct injection and cylinder deactivation technology.
