Italy is celebrating 150 years since its unification – March 16th. To celebrate this event, Lamborghini will launch the Galardo Tricolore.
Tricolore Edition comes with a white base color which is given green, white and red colors accent on the left side of the car that spread from the front to the stern. These three colors are the national flag colors of Italy – course.
Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Lamborghini, stated “with this special Tricolore version of our most successful model we give a further impulse to the ‘Made in Italy’ label around the world”.
Also note that the famous Tricolore, which is the symbolic name of the Italian flag by the way, is also present on the seats inside, similar to the stripes inside the LP550-2 Valentino Balboni special.
Lamborghini offered no technical details of the special edition model and has yet to announce the number of cars it plans to build, though our bet would go to 150.
As for the performance numbers, if this special edition will use the same V10 engine with 560 hp, then Tricolore will hit 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 201 mph.
