The first official image with the McLaren 675LT has popped onto the web ahead of the supercar’s reveal scheduled for next month, at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
Following several spy shots and a lot of teaser images, the McLaren 675LT is now partially revealing its design in a new image leaked onto the web. The newest British supercar is bringing a redesigned rear end which is paying its tribute to the F1 GTR Long Tail from 1997. Thanks to the new body, the downforce of the model has increased by 40 percent compared to the 650S.
The McLaren 675LT is bringing a fresh set of alloy wheels, a different diffuser, vented rear vents, updated side skirts and orange finished brake calipers, amongst others. The supercar also has a titanium exhaust system with two circular pipes and several other tweaks which are making it look instantly recognizable.
Under the hood, the supercar will get a 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine, the same one used throughout the McLaren range, which will be less powerful than the one found on the P1 hypercar but it will pack more muscle compared to the one on the 650S. The total output will stand at 675 HP (497 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, making it 25 HP and 22 Nm more powerful than the 650S. More details on the 675LT are limited for the moment and will be announced in early March, at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, where the model will be fully revealed.
