The very first review of the new MINI generation has been made by our colleagues at Auto Express and the video can be seen right after the jump.
The new generation of the MINI has been officially unveiled last week and the model has some significant updates. The footage posted below represents a different review than the ones you’re probably used to because you won’t hear details on the model’s handling and you won’t even hear its engine noise, because this is a static review, which is focusing on its design, on the quality of materials used and so on.
The 2015 MINI is riding on the UKL1 platform and it’s the first vehicle in its segment to get the full LED headlamps and taillights. The model in question is also coming with the Variable Damper Control, available as an option. The engine range will be made from a 1.5 liter three-cylinder unit, with 134 HP (100 kW) and 170 lb-ft of torque, with a 1.5 liter diesel, producing 114 HP (85 kW) and 269 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque and with a 2.0L turbo gasoline on the Cooper S, generating 189 HP (141 kW) and 221 lb-ft of torque. Prices for the new MINI will start at 15,300 GBP while for the Cooper S its future customers will have to pay 18,650 GBP.
