Wald delivers aero tuning for the Mercedes-AMG GT image

Last year Wald International teased us with the upcoming presentation of its full customization package for the Mercedes-AMG GT – and now the official introduction took place at the 2016 Tokyo Auto Salon.

Wald has been known to deliver pretty wild interpretations of the models it chooses to work on, but this time around the Japanese tuner has adopted a stylish, yet restrained approach. The Mercedes-AMG GT has been treated to the tailor-made customization package called Sports Line Black Bison Edition and among the more outstanding features we can mention the front end fitted with a massive lip spoiler that sits on the refreshed bumper with side canards. We also noticed the orange accents or the side sills that have been resculpted – but the most important novelties can be found in the back. There changes are less subtle and most importantly we have a new fixed wing. There’s also a new bumper that houses new side vents while the central diffuser is being marked by the bespoke exhaust system. We also have exclusive wheels that highlight the suspension changes.

Since this is only an aerodynamic and visual body kit the technical innards have been left untouched, with the Mercedes-AMG GT still being motivated by the biturbo 4.0-liter V8 churning out 503 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque when choosing the range-topping S variant. We’re also expecting Mercedes to deliver its own “tuning” package in the form of the “R” version sometimes this summer – likely coming with even more power, reduced weight and some form of active aerodynamic elements.
