Lincoln Prepares 2013 MKT and MKS Facelifts for LA Auto Show
Lincoln will debut updated versions of its MKS saloon and MKT crossover at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show, featuring a new grille and revised styling.
Lincoln is set to reveal facelifted versions of the MKS saloon and MKT crossover at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show, with both models receiving a revised front grille and other exterior changes. The world premieres are scheduled for 18 November, marking a freshened look for Lincoln’s large saloon and people mover as they enter the 2013 model year.
The most noticeable change for both the MKS and MKT is the adoption of a new grille, moving away from the prominent waterfall style that has defined Lincoln’s recent design language. The company has not detailed the full extent of the redesign, but the updates place both vehicles firmly in the facelift category rather than representing a ground-up replacement.
Alongside the grille, Lincoln is expected to introduce other minor bodywork revisions. These changes are aimed at keeping the MKS and MKT competitive in their respective segments, as rivals also bring refreshed models to market. Mechanical updates have not been confirmed, but are possible as part of the 2013 model year package.
What to expect from the LA Auto Show debut
The LA Auto Show, opening to the public on 18 November 2011, will see the first public display of the facelifted MKS and MKT.
