Aston Martin Vanquish Set for US Debut at 2012 LA Auto Show
Aston Martin will unveil the new Vanquish to American audiences at the Los Angeles Auto Show, ahead of first US deliveries in early 2013.
Aston Martin will introduce the new Vanquish to the US market at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, with the car scheduled to make its American public debut on 28 November. The launch comes after the model’s European premiere earlier in the year, and precedes first US deliveries expected in early 2013.
The Vanquish replaces the DBS at the top of Aston Martin’s line-up, offering a new interpretation of the brand’s grand tourer formula. Under the bonnet, the car features a 6.0-litre naturally aspirated V12 producing 565 bhp and 620 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed Touchtronic 2 automatic transmission.
Performance figures put the Vanquish firmly in supercar territory. The official 0-62 mph time is 4.1 seconds, with a claimed top speed of 183 mph (295 km/h). The Vanquish will be offered in both 2+0 and 2+2 seating configurations, giving US buyers a choice between a pure coupe layout and a more practical grand tourer setup.
US Pricing and Availability
Aston Martin has set the US starting price for the Vanquish at $279,995. In the UK, the car is listed from £189,995. The model’s LA Auto Show appearance is the final stop in Aston Martin’s 2012 North American tour, which has included a series of private previews for customers and dealers.
