New digital renderings of a 2014 Toyota Corolla hatchback have appeared online, fuelling speculation about the possibility of a compact five-door variant to sit alongside the saloon. The images, created by independent designer Theophilus Chin, show a hatchback interpretation based on the latest Corolla styling, which debuted in 2013 for the US and other global markets.
Toyota has not confirmed plans to produce a Corolla hatchback, and the company has made no official statement on the matter.
