The 330e pairs a 2.0-litre four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo petrol engine producing 184hp and 290Nm with an electric motor rated at 88hp and 250Nm. System output is quoted at 252hp and 420Nm, delivered to the rear wheels. BMW claims the 330e will accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 6.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 225km/h.
Electric-only driving is possible for up to 40km, with speeds of up to 120km/h before the petrol engine intervenes. Official combined fuel consumption is rated at 1.9–2.1 litres per 100km, with CO2 emissions between 44 and 49g/km.
