ABT debuts 730hp Audi RS6-R Avant at 2015 Geneva Motor Show
ABT has unveiled its most powerful Audi RS6-R Avant yet at Geneva, with the limited-run estate now producing 730hp and 920Nm from its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8.
ABT Sportsline has brought its latest take on the Audi RS6 Avant to the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, revealing a limited-edition RS6-R with a headline power figure of 730hp. The German tuner’s most extreme RS6 package to date pushes the 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 far beyond the standard car’s 560hp, making the RS6-R one of the most powerful estates on the show floor.
The RS6-R’s uprated engine produces 537kW (730hp) and 920Nm, a considerable jump from the standard RS6 Avant’s 412kW (560hp) and 700Nm. ABT’s engineers have steadily increased the RS6’s output since first launching a 666hp version in mid-2014, then a 700hp variant later that year. The Geneva debut marks the most potent evolution yet, achieved through revised engine management and a custom stainless steel exhaust system.
Performance figures are in supercar territory. ABT claims a 0-100km/h time of under 3.3 seconds, putting the RS6-R ahead of many sports cars. Power is sent through the standard quattro all-wheel-drive system and eight-speed automatic gearbox, though ABT has not detailed any changes to the transmission or cooling systems.
Limited production and exterior upgrades
Production of the RS6-R is capped at just 25 units worldwide. Each car receives a full carbon fibre body kit, including a new front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and mirror caps. The look is completed by 22-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 295/25 ZR22 Dunlop tyres, giving the estate an aggressive stance. Suspension modifications include a height-adjustable kit to complement the increased performance.

Interior and exclusivity
Inside, the RS6-R features bespoke touches such as red carbon fibre trim, new floor mats, and a sports steering wheel fitted with LED shift lights and paddles. The upgrades are intended to reflect the car’s performance focus while maintaining the comfort and practicality expected of an Audi estate. ABT’s CEO has emphasised that the RS6-R aims to deliver both “utmost comfort” and “sumptuousness”, despite its track-inspired upgrades.
Position among Geneva’s performance cars
The RS6-R joins a strong field of high-performance debuts at Geneva, including the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and the Audi R8 LMS. While the RS6-R is not a factory Audi product, it demonstrates the appetite for ultra-fast estates with bespoke engineering. Its combination of power, exclusivity and practicality sets it apart from the supercars and track specials that dominate the show’s headlines.
