Spy shots reveal Alfa Romeo is developing a more aggressive Quadrifoglio Verde version of its 4C sports car, with visible bodywork changes and likely performance upgrades.
Alfa Romeo has been caught testing a prototype of the 4C Quadrifoglio Verde, indicating that the Italian marque is preparing a higher-performance version of its mid-engined sports car. The camouflaged test car was photographed undergoing development work, with several visible changes pointing to its enhanced status.
Compared to the standard 4C, the Quadrifoglio Verde prototype features a more aggressive front bumper, additional aerodynamic elements and a new exhaust system. The car is also fitted with grey-finished multi-spoke alloy wheels and wears the distinctive Quadrifoglio Verde (green four-leaf clover) badging, a name reserved for Alfa Romeo’s most performance-focused models.
Suspension modifications are expected, along with a likely increase in engine output over the regular 4C’s 1.75-litre turbocharged four-cylinder. Alfa Romeo has not released any official specifications or performance targets for the Quadrifoglio Verde variant. The standard 4C produces 240hp and 350Nm, so any increase would further sharpen its track credentials.

Bodywork changes visible on the prototype include reshaped air intakes and what appears to be a revised rear diffuser. These modifications suggest a focus on improving both downforce and cooling.
