Novitec has introduced a comprehensive upgrade programme for the Alfa Romeo Giulietta, offering a combination of aerodynamic bodywork, suspension modifications and engine tuning across the model range. The German tuning specialist’s package is aimed at owners seeking more aggressive styling and enhanced performance from the Italian hatchback.

Aerodynamic and Suspension Changes

The exterior package features a new front lip spoiler, side skirts and a rear bumper with an integrated diffuser. Novitec’s wheel options range from 18 to 20 inches, with the largest size paired to sport springs that lower the car by 35mm. These changes are designed to sharpen the Giulietta’s appearance and improve its stance, while the lowered ride height is intended to enhance handling.

Engine Tuning for Petrol and Diesel Variants

Novitec’s engine upgrades cover the full Giulietta line-up. The 1.4 MultiAir petrol sees output rise from 168bhp to 193bhp, and the 1.4 TB 16v is lifted from 118bhp to 139bhp. The most substantial gains are reserved for the 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol, which is tuned to 261hp and 386Nm of torque. According to Novitec, this version accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 6.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 251km/h.

Diesel Giuliettas are also catered for. The 1.6 JTD 16v receives a 15hp boost, while the 2.0 JTD 16v gains 20hp. The 170hp version is taken to 195hp. These upgrades are aimed at drivers looking for extra flexibility and mid-range performance without moving to a petrol engine.

Positioning and Context

Novitec’s Giulietta package arrives as Alfa Romeo continues to update its line-up, with the Giulietta positioned as the brand’s compact hatchback. The upgrade programme offers an alternative to buyers considering mainstream hot hatches, providing a blend of Italian design and German aftermarket engineering. For those interested in the latest updates to the standard Giulietta, the facelifted version is covered separately (see Facelifted Alfa Romeo Giulietta Revealed Ahead of Geneva Debut).
