HPerformance pushes Audi RS6 Avant to 700hp with new upgrades
German tuner HPerformance has revealed a 700hp upgrade package for the 2014 Audi RS6 Avant, raising power and torque well beyond the standard car’s already formidable figures.
HPerformance has released a new tuning package for the 2014 Audi RS6 Avant, lifting the estate’s output to 700hp and 860Nm of torque. The German tuning firm’s latest project targets the C7-generation RS6’s 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8, with upgrades that go well beyond the factory car’s already considerable 560hp and 700Nm.
The core of HPerformance’s upgrade is a combination of a carbon air intake system and a revised engine control unit. These changes, along with a new 70mm double pipe exhaust system fitted with controllable exhaust valves, allow the V8 to produce an extra 140hp and 160Nm. The exhaust valves can be operated via the car’s MMI system, or by electronic or pneumatic means, giving the driver control over sound and flow.
Performance gains over standard RS6 Avant
Audi’s standard RS6 Avant C7, launched in 2013, is no slouch. Out of the box, it reaches 100km/h in 3.9 seconds and, with the optional Dynamic Plus Package, tops out at 305km/h. HPerformance has not published new acceleration or top speed figures for its 700hp version, but the power and torque increase is substantial. For comparison, similar upgrades from other tuners, such as ABT and MTM, have seen RS6 Avants reach or exceed 700hp, with 0-100km/h times dropping below 3.7 seconds.
The exhaust system is a key part of the package. The 70mm double pipe layout is designed to reduce back pressure and enhance the V8’s soundtrack. The system’s valves can be set for maximum volume or a quieter note, depending on preference and driving mode.

Both firms have produced their own high-output versions of the C7 RS6, with ABT’s RS6-R and MTM’s RS6 upgrades also breaking the 700hp mark.
