Black Ferrari LaFerrari Listed for $5 Million in US Sale
A rare black Ferrari LaFerrari with just 202 miles is offered for sale in the United States at a $5 million asking price, nearly five times its original cost.
A black Ferrari LaFerrari has been listed for sale in the United States with an asking price of $5 million, marking one of the highest prices sought for the hybrid hypercar since its launch. The car, finished in gloss black with silver five-spoke wheels and yellow centre caps, has covered only 202 miles from new.
The LaFerrari was Ferrari’s flagship hybrid, combining a 6.3-litre V12 engine with an electric motor to deliver a combined 950hp and 900Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Ferrari claimed a 0–62mph time of under three seconds and a top speed of 217mph.
This example’s interior is trimmed in tan leather, with Alcantara and carbon fibre accents. The seller has chosen not to disclose the car’s original delivery date, but the mileage suggests it has spent most of its life in storage rather than on the road.
Asking price and market context
The $5 million price tag is nearly five times the LaFerrari’s original US list price. When new, the car was offered to select Ferrari clients at around $1.4 million. Only 499 units were built, all of which were spoken for before deliveries began. Since then, values have climbed steadily, especially for low-mileage examples in sought-after colours.
While the LaFerrari was available in several colours, black examples are relatively uncommon compared to the more frequent red and yellow cars. The tan interior provides a contrast to the exterior and is paired with black brake calipers visible behind the silver wheels.
Collectability and comparison
The LaFerrari sits alongside the Porsche 918 Spyder and McLaren P1 as one of the three defining hybrid hypercars of its era. Recent sales of similarly rare Ferrari models, such as the Enzo, have also seen strong prices for low-mileage US cars. For comparison, a low-mileage Ferrari Enzo was recently offered in the US for $2.89 million, underscoring the LaFerrari’s current premium.
