Carlex Design transforms Toyota Hilux into luxury off-road pickup
Carlex Design has reworked the Toyota Hilux with a bespoke body kit, upgraded suspension and a handcrafted interior, targeting buyers who want both rugged ability and luxury.
Carlex Design has unveiled a heavily modified Toyota Hilux, targeting drivers who want more than the standard workhorse. The Polish customiser has applied its Pickup Design treatment to the Hilux, combining off-road upgrades with a luxury interior overhaul.
The exterior package is immediately striking. Carlex has fitted new front and rear bumpers, arch extensions, sills, insets and a hood cover, all fabricated using advanced plastics. The look is completed with a bespoke wrap and a set of BF Goodrich All-Terrain tyres. The Hilux also gains an extended wheelbase and a Pedders suspension lift kit, increasing both its stance and off-road capability.
Off-road modifications and visual upgrades
Carlex’s approach goes beyond appearance. The lifted suspension and all-terrain tyres are intended for genuine off-road use, not just show. The company has experience with a range of vehicles, bringing techniques from previous projects on models such as the Mercedes G-Class. Inside, Carlex has replaced the utilitarian Hilux trim with hand-stitched black leather on the seats, dashboard and steering wheel. Other features include new rubber floor mats, an upgraded audio system, soundproofed doors and a soft-close tailgate. The modifications are aimed at customers who want a pickup that can handle rough terrain without sacrificing comfort or style.
