Subaru will introduce the Levorg Wagon to the UK market in autumn 2015, adding a new estate to its British line-up. The announcement follows confirmation from Subaru UK, which also outlined plans to launch the new Outback and Forester Lineartronic diesel earlier in the year.

Levorg Wagon: UK Positioning and Expected Specification

The Levorg sits between the Impreza and Outback in Subaru’s global range, positioned as a practical estate with a sporting edge. While full UK specifications have not yet been confirmed, the Japanese market Levorg is available with a 1.6-litre turbocharged direct-injection petrol engine producing 170hp and 250Nm of torque, as well as a 2.0-litre turbocharged unit delivering 300hp and 400Nm. Both versions use Subaru’s symmetrical all-wheel drive system, paired with Lineartronic CVT transmissions. It remains to be seen which engines will be offered in the UK when the car arrives.

In Japan, the 1.6-litre Levorg is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with 215/50 tyres, while the 2.0-litre model features 18-inch rims and 224/45 tyres. These details provide some indication of the potential specification for UK models, though final features and trim levels are yet to be announced. Subaru’s approach suggests the Levorg will be aimed at buyers looking for a blend of practicality and sporty handling, with its all-wheel drive system distinguishing it from many front-wheel-drive estate rivals.

Subaru's UK Estate Range

Subaru’s UK estate range will therefore include the Levorg alongside the larger Outback and the Forester, which targets buyers needing more off-road capability. The Levorg is expected to appeal to drivers seeking a practical wagon with all-wheel drive and a focus on road handling rather than outright off-road ability. This addition helps fill the gap left by the Legacy, which was previously Subaru’s mid-sized estate offering in the UK.

Pricing and Availability

Subaru has not yet released UK pricing for the Levorg. More details on engine choices, equipment and final specifications are expected to be announced closer to the car’s autumn launch. The move gives Subaru a direct rival to established estates such as the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate, but with Subaru’s signature all-wheel drive system as standard. The Levorg Wagon’s UK launch marks Subaru’s first new mid-sized estate offering since the Legacy was withdrawn from the market. The arrival of the Levorg is likely to be significant for buyers who value Subaru’s reputation for reliability and all-weather capability, especially as the estate segment continues to attract those seeking versatile family transport with added traction and stability.

What to Expect Next

As the launch approaches, Subaru is expected to provide further details on the Levorg’s UK specification, including which engine options will be available and the standard and optional equipment packages. Buyers interested in the Levorg can look forward to a new choice in the mid-sized estate segment, combining Subaru’s established strengths with a fresh design and updated technology.
