Volkswagen has released a comprehensive photo gallery highlighting the US-spec Golf SportWagen, detailing trims, pricing and features for American buyers.
Volkswagen has published a comprehensive photo gallery for the Golf SportWagen in US specification, aiming to spotlight the estate’s features as it arrives in American showrooms. The model, which effectively replaces the Jetta SportWagen in the US range, is now available to order with a line-up structured around three trim levels and two engine options.
Trim levels and pricing for the US market
The entry-level Golf SportWagen S starts at $21,395. Standard equipment includes 15-inch alloy wheels, Sirius XM satellite radio, iPod and USB connectivity, Bluetooth, a touchscreen infotainment system, power windows and power door locks. The SE trim, priced at $26,995, adds keyless access, a rearview camera, panoramic sunroof, Fender audio system and 17-inch wheels. Topping the range, the SEL comes in at $29,345 and includes dual-zone climatronic, navigation, a 12-way power driver’s seat and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Engine options and transmissions
US buyers can choose between a 1.8-litre TSI petrol engine producing 170 hp and 200 lb-ft of torque, or a 2.0-litre TDI diesel rated at 150 hp and 236 lb-ft. Both engines are paired with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, with a dual-clutch automatic available for an additional $1,100. The diesel variant starts at $24,595, offering buyers a more economical alternative within the range.
Position in Volkswagen’s US line-up
The Golf SportWagen’s arrival gives Volkswagen a direct competitor to other compact estates in the US, a segment where options remain limited. With the Jetta SportWagen discontinued, the Golf-based estate is now Volkswagen’s only wagon offering for American buyers. The new gallery is intended to support the launch and provide potential customers with a detailed look at the car’s design and equipment.
