Alfa Romeo 4C confirmed for production

The Italian based automaker Alfa Romeo has recently announced its plans to produce the 4C and the model will finally hit the market sometimes next year.

The Alfa Romeo 4C is probably one of the most awaited cars to be produced by the company in recent times and after it was caught by spy photographers while being tested as a prototype, the final production version of the model was just given the green light. The Alfa Romeo 4C will enter the assembly line sometimes in 2013 and the model is expected to hit the market before the year will end.

As a quick reminder, the Alfa Romeo 4C Sports Coupe Concept has been officially presented to the public last year in March, during the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The model should get a production version which is expected to be unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The 4C will probably be powered by a 1.8 liter turbocharged engine, mated to a six-speed dual clutch transmission, which should allow it to sprint from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.5 seconds. A 230 HP 1.75 turbocharged four-cylinder unit might also be used on the model. More details on the 4C will be announced in 2013.

As wonderful is the car is….at a suggested price of $75,000 The car if it ever arrives is dead on arrival. There are to many other brands that have better performance and value. Sad as I love anything ALFA makes !
