ABT Unveils 730hp Audi RS6-R at 2014 Geneva Motor Show
ABT has launched the RS6-R at Geneva, a 730hp estate based on the Audi RS6 Avant, featuring extensive carbon fibre upgrades and a major power increase.
ABT Sportsline has revealed the RS6-R at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, presenting a heavily modified version of the Audi RS6 Avant with 730hp and a raft of carbon fibre additions. The RS6-R marks ABT’s most powerful take on the RS6 to date, with the German tuner targeting buyers after supercar performance in a practical estate body.
Power comes from the familiar 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8, but ABT has increased output from the standard 560hp and 700Nm to 730hp and 920Nm. The gains are achieved through a bespoke ABT Engine Control unit, a specially developed stainless steel exhaust system and revised engine software. No official acceleration figures were released at launch, but the standard RS6 Avant completes 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds and the RS6-R’s extra power is expected to improve on that benchmark.
ABT’s modifications extend beyond the engine. The RS6-R receives a series of carbon fibre exterior parts including a new front lip, side skirt attachments, air inlet covers, fender inserts, side mirror caps and a rear spoiler. These changes give the RS6-R a more aggressive appearance and reduce weight, while the estate’s practicality remains intact.
Visual and technical upgrades
The carbon fibre elements are not limited to styling. ABT’s package also includes uprated suspension and unique 22-inch alloy wheels. The interior can be specified with bespoke trim and badging, though the main focus remains on the exterior transformation and powertrain enhancements.

With its 730hp output, the RS6-R sits above the standard RS6 Avant and is aimed at enthusiasts seeking both speed and exclusivity. The power figure places it well into supercar territory, outpacing most rivals in the fast estate segment. ABT’s approach combines track-level performance with everyday usability, a formula that continues to attract a niche but loyal following among Audi customers.
