BMW has confirmed its presence at the 2016 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, where it will showcase a range of M Performance Parts fitted to its 3 Series and 7 Series models. The event, running from 1 to 4 November, marks a rare official appearance for the German manufacturer at the US aftermarket show.

Modified 3 Series leads the display

The centrepiece of BMW’s SEMA stand will be a 3 Series saloon, equipped with a package of M Performance upgrades. Teaser images released ahead of the show reveal the car wearing the division’s signature stripes along the shoulder line, a prominent rear wing, and an aggressive front bumper with enlarged air intakes. The visual changes point to a focus on aerodynamics and motorsport-inspired styling, echoing the approach seen on recent special editions such as the BMW X6 M Performance Edition. Full technical details remain under wraps until the show opens.

7 Series gets subtle M Performance treatment

Alongside the 3 Series, BMW will display a 7 Series fitted with M Performance Parts. Early images suggest a subtler approach, with the main visible changes being a set of large aftermarket wheels. BMW has not confirmed whether the executive saloon will receive further styling or interior enhancements, but carbon fibre trim and a new M Performance exhaust are expected to feature in the line-up.

Focus on carbon fibre and aerodynamic upgrades

BMW’s preview for SEMA also highlights a selection of carbon fibre components, including a rear diffuser and a subtle boot lip spoiler. The company is also expected to show lightweight interior materials, such as a carbon fibre centre console. These additions are aimed at buyers seeking to personalise their cars with motorsport-inspired parts direct from the manufacturer.
