Ford brings 2018 Mustang, EcoSport and Tourneo Custom to Frankfurt
Ford’s stand at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show features the facelifted Euro-spec Mustang, a refreshed EcoSport with new diesel and AWD, and the updated nine-seat Tourneo Custom.
Ford’s 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show line-up includes the updated Mustang for Europe, a revised EcoSport compact SUV and the latest Tourneo Custom people carrier, as the company targets key segments across the continent.
2018 Ford Mustang: more power, more tech
The facelifted Mustang arrives in Europe with a sharper look, revised engines and new driver assistance features. The 5.0-litre V8 now produces an anticipated 450 PS, paired with Ford’s new 10-speed automatic gearbox. Buyers can also opt for the 2.3-litre EcoBoost, rated at 290 PS, with the same transmission. Ford claims the V8 in Drag Strip mode will reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in under four seconds. The MagneRide adaptive damping system is now available, along with new drive modes including Drag Strip and My Mode, plus a Good Neighbor Mode that quietens the exhaust for early starts.

EcoSport facelift: new diesel, AWD and ST-Line trim
Ford’s subcompact crossover receives a major update for Europe. The EcoSport now offers the 1.5-litre EcoBlue diesel engine with 125 PS and, unusually for the class, optional all-wheel drive. The interior has been reworked, and a new ST-Line trim joins the range. The EcoSport remains one of the few B-segment SUVs to offer AWD, targeting buyers who want more capability in a small package.

Tourneo Custom: nine-seat people carrier for Europe
The Tourneo Custom, Ford’s largest MPV for Europe, is updated for Frankfurt. Seating up to nine, it targets families and business users needing maximum flexibility. The model draws on the Transit’s reputation but is built for comfort, with a new interior and revised features. The update brings the Tourneo Custom closer to passenger car standards for refinement and technology.
