Lumma Design has launched the CLR 700 GT, a wide-body tuning package for the Porsche Panamera that pushes the four-door saloon firmly into motorsport-inspired territory. The German specialist is known for its bold bodywork and this latest project leaves little doubt about its intentions.

Panamera gets a motorsport makeover

The CLR 700 GT package replaces much of the Panamera’s exterior with bespoke Lumma panels. The kit includes new front and rear bumpers, extended wheel arches, prominent side skirts and a large fixed rear wing. Carbon fibre is used extensively, both for weight savings and visual impact. The result is a Panamera that looks closer to a 911 GT3 Cup car than a luxury saloon, with a stance and silhouette that would not be out of place on a race grid.

Lumma has also fitted 22-inch alloy wheels and dropped the ride height by 35mm, giving the car a lower, more aggressive profile. The exhaust system is replaced with a new quad-exit setup, further emphasising the car’s performance credentials. The company’s press material does not specify any interior changes, but the visual transformation is comprehensive from the outside.

Power claims and technical details

While Lumma Design has named the car the CLR 700 GT, suggesting an output of 700 horsepower, no technical details have been released to confirm engine modifications or performance figures. The base Panamera Turbo of this era produced around 500hp from its twin-turbocharged V8, so a 700hp figure would require substantial tuning. For now, the power claim remains unverified, with the focus clearly on the car’s dramatic appearance.

Where the CLR 700 GT fits among Porsche tuners

The Panamera has attracted attention from several tuning houses since its launch, with companies like Project Kahn and 9ff also offering their own takes. Lumma’s approach is among the most radical, trading subtlety for overt motorsport cues and maximum visual impact. It follows the company’s tradition of dramatic styling for high-end German cars, as seen in previous projects like the White Pepper Porsche Cayenne II and the CLR 550 GT.

  • Lumma Design CLR 700 GT (Porsche Panamera)
  • Project Kahn Panamera refinement
  • 9ff Porsche 911 BT1000 (not Panamera, but similar tuning approach)

For buyers seeking a Panamera that stands out from the factory model, the CLR 700 GT offers a striking alternative. The car’s dimensions, materials and styling details are aimed squarely at those who want their Porsche to make a statement, both on the road and at any event where it appears.
