Mini Brings Full Seven-Model Range and New Accessories to 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show
Mini’s stand at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show features its entire seven-model line-up, John Cooper Works editions, and new retrofit accessories including xenon headlamps and child seats.
Mini is presenting its entire seven-model range at the 2013 Frankfurt International Motor Show, alongside John Cooper Works variants and a collection of new Original MINI Accessories. The show, running from 12 to 22 September 2013, gives visitors a chance to see the brand’s complete line-up and its latest retrofit options for owners.

Mini’s stand at the IAA includes every model in its line-up: the standard Mini Hatch, Clubman, Convertible, Coupé, Roadster, Countryman and Paceman. John Cooper Works versions are also present, highlighting the brand’s performance focus. The approach reflects Mini’s strategy of emphasising both breadth and sportiness, especially in a German show where BMW’s stewardship is a key part of the marque’s identity.
No new production models or concepts are being introduced at this Frankfurt show, but the full display allows Mini to underline the variety within its range and the continued relevance of each model. This is in contrast to some rivals using the event for major debuts, such as theFord S-Max Conceptor theBMW i8 production debut.
New retrofit accessories for existing owners
Mini is using Frankfurt to launch several new accessories aimed at current owners. The most notable is a retrofit 25-watt xenon headlamp, available for the Hatch, Clubman, Convertible, Coupé and Roadster. Mini says this option matches the quality, brightness and range of its factory-fit xenon units, but can be added after purchase at a lower cost. The lamps are claimed to offer longer service life and lower energy use than standard halogen bulbs.
Other additions to the accessories programme include a combined LED fog, side and daytime running light, plus the Navigation Portable XL system. The navigation unit features a 4.3-inch display, TMC Premium traffic warning, and a cockpit holder designed for all Mini models.
Child seat upgrades and safety features
Mini is also updating its child safety equipment. The new Mini Baby Seat 0+ and Junior Seat 1 now use ISOFIX attachments, while the Junior Seat 2/3 adds ISOFIX connectors. The latest models are fitted with integrated airpads to protect children’s heads from side impacts, reflecting a focus on safety for family buyers.
Positioning at Frankfurt
While Mini’s 2013 Frankfurt presence lacks a headline debut, the brand is using the event to reinforce its complete range and to highlight practical upgrades for owners. The focus on retrofit accessories and safety equipment suggests Mini is targeting both new customers and those looking to update their current cars, in a year where rivals are pushing new models and concepts.
