The more hardcore – or as we know they’re called “bombs in a nutshell” – Brabus Smart ForTwo and ForFour models have been recently spied wearing absolutely no camouflage.
We must be inching close to the actual reveal of the models as the high performance versions of the Smart ForTwo and ForFour duo has been caught in Brabus guise only wearing heavy camouflage while undergoing the usual prototype trials. Now the models have been caught “naked” while posing during a photo shoot – which could be the one needed for the press release when they are officially presented. Never mind the cause of the shenanigan, more importantly we can see the design changes – the city dwellers are now a tad more aggressive thanks to the modified body which packs sleeker bumpers and a sporty rear diffuser with dual exhaust tips featuring a metallic finish. The dual exhaust arrangement has also been changed compared to the predecessors, which had them placed in a centered position.
Both models use beefier alloy wheels with a two-tone finish and we can also imagine the models in Brabus guise will be arriving with an upgraded suspension system that favor a sporty ride – they are also lower in terms of ride height. Being the flagship versions of the range, we can also expect the cabin to get its fair share of modifications and the performance bump could be kept at bay by the bigger set of brakes. Speaking of power, we still don’t know how much it will be increased, but reports are calling Brabus to have modified the turbocharged three-cylinder, 0.9-liter gasoline engine directly – and the mill is advancing an 110 hp stage for both versions.
